As a graduate of this course you can go on to complete a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Teaching and gain employment as an educator in an early childhood setting. You can also gain employment within a home-based care service, or as a nanny.
This level 3 national certificate course aims to give you foundation knowledge and skills in working with infants, toddlers and young children. You will develop skills such as guiding young children’s behaviour, communicating with children, parents and whanau, and understand the early childhood curriculum, Te Whariki.

You must complete within 21 weeks of your initial enrolment, so you should allow up to fifteen hours of study per week, depending on your prior knowledge, skills and experience.
